An editor’s precision. A community nurse’s attention to lived experience. A deep command of the ideas that shape how you think.

You deserve to understand the ideas shaping your life well enough to question them.

I bring an editor’s eye and a community nurse’s attention to the distance between an explanation and an experience. My work here draws philosophy, psychology, and cognitive science together to make that distance intelligible. What does a theory explain? What does the evidence establish? Where does a confident claim get ahead of both?

The expertise is in the distinctions: tracing an idea across centuries, recognizing the structure beneath unfamiliar language, and showing exactly where two convincing explanations part company. You get the depth of the argument in language you can work with. The difficult parts earn their place. The grandstanding does not.

As you explore, you build a richer understanding of your own mind and a sharper eye for the claims around you. You can follow a connection, challenge a premise, and decide where you stand.

That is the ambition of I Am What You Read: put serious intellectual depth within your reach, and give you room to become a more capable, independent thinker.
